Hello! I'm Ariel Marie and I'm a paranormal romance author. I love the world of paranormal, action and hot steamy romance. I combine all three in each and every one of my stories. For as long as I can remember, I have loved vampires, shifters and every creature you can think of. This even rolls over into my favorite movies! I love a good action pack thriller! Throw a touch of the supernatural world in it and I'm hooked!
I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where I currently live with my husband and three beautiful children. I am a proud indie author. What does this mean? It means that I publish my own books and I can control when and how I get my books to my readers and I LOVE it!

Will you ever write in another genre?
Absolutly! I have already have a few ideas in mind. Paranormal will always be my first love but I will try different genres. Hopefully, my readers will love those books as much as they love my paranormal work.
How has being an author shaped your life?
Being an author is amazing! I don't know why I didn't pursue it before. If you would have told me ten years ago that I would write a book, publish it and people would buy it, I would have laughed in your face. Being an author is like therapy. I can write until I lose myself into the world that I have created. I get really attached to my characters and feel every emotion that they experience. I'm able to take a character and express myself through them. It's a release for me. My adrenaline gets going when I'm starting a new project because I'll have a great idea and I'll be ready to run with it.
What inspired you to write?
One day, I was in a reading funk. I just couldn't find anything that kept my attention. When I finish reading a book, I would imagine how I would have spun the story. I have always had a vivid imagination and secretly as kid I wanted to be a performer. I'll let you in on a secret....I can't sing or even dance that good. But imaging a storyline has been something I have done since childhood. One day, I saw a quote from Toni Morrison that said, "If there's a book that you want to read, but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it." And that was how it all began.
You go out for happy hour, what drink do you order?
Ha! I love me a good sangria! Red or white, doesn't matter.
Do you have any writing rituals?
I wouldn't say I have any particular rituals. I can pretty much write anywhere. I do love writing to music. It helps me channel the emotions that I may want to put in to my writing. I do work full time so some of my writing will occur at night. When I'm writing steamy scene, it flows better once the kids are in the bed. Maybe it's because I don't have worry about the little ones looking over my shoulder and seeing what I am writing!
